Welcome to the first edition of the Stockholm Gravel League.
The idea of this summer long event is not to race but to explore and connect.
Connect with nature and connect with friends all within the greater Stockholm region.
The Stockholm Gravel League comprises seven tours.
Tour routes will be published every 14 days, with the first being released at the opening party on the 30th May.
The routes can be ridden anytime up until the 12th September.
You can time yourself, race against friends or ride in party pace mode.
The routes are on average 75km long and are of mixed difficulty from an easy gravel grind to more challenging surfaces.
The ideal bike for these routes is a gravel bike with 42 to 45mm wide tyres.
If 20km per hour is your average speed then allow up to five hours for each of the routes.
What you need to do:
- Buy a single ticket for the opening and closing event party here on GRVL.se. Price 250kr

The Rules
- “The organizers” refers to Michael O’Dwyer, Björn Melin, Olle Wahlquist, and Brad Roets as a collective unless otherwise individually stated.
- “A rider” refers to a paid-up entrant in the Stockholm Gravel League Series of events.
- “A tour” refers to a route designed and selected by the organizers for riders to cycle.
- “A timed segment” refers to a specific section or segment of a tour, where the time to complete it will be recorded via Strava Segments.
- “Road users” refers to, but not exclusively, vehicles, pedestrians and horses.
- There is no fixed start date or start time for any of the tours. Tours can be completed whenever it is convenient for the riders.
- Only tours completed on or before the 12 September will be considered for prizes.
- Ride the whole tour under your own power.
- Riders can ride any human powered bike
- Riders can ride an e-bike but are then exempt from prizes awarded for timed segments.
- It’s obviously acceptable to deviate off course for a resupply or in an emergency, but if you intend to complete the tour you must rejoin the GPS track at the exact point you left it.
- Tours must be recorded by a GPS enabled headunit, mobile phone or similar and then uploaded to Strava for verification. “Did the ride even happen if it’s not on Strava?”
- Tours take place on shared roads – a considerate approach to other road users is a requirement – Swedish road laws apply at all times.
- Tours are not races – Again: tours are NOT races. However, to keep a competitive element in this series, there will be a number of predetermined, timed segments scattered through each tour. The combined times of all the predetermined segments will be your ‘finishing time’
- Riders are required to accept a ‘follow’ from the STHLM GRVL League Strava account. Failure to do this will exclude a rider from timed segment prizes. (All collected data will be deleted within one calendar month of the completion of the league.)
- You are responsible for your own nutrition, water and repairs. There are no support vehicles, manned refuel stations, or mechanical assistance provided by the organizers. Assisting fellow riders is encouraged.
- Only use resources that are available to ALL other riders. The aim of the organizers is to have clean and fair riding.
- All decisions regarding prizes, placing, disqualifications and exceptions made by the organizers are final.
